Our Team
Debbie
Debbie is the Manager of our Feilding store and has been a key part of the Harrisons team since 1998. Her love of gardening started when her children were small, buying a first house and planting trees. Relocating from Taranaki to Feilding for her husbands work Debbie door knocked at her local garden centre and we immediately snapped her up. Her love of the job and the many clients and friends she has met has kept her here. “The excitement never dulls when every new season rolls around with our old favourites and new plants start flowing in. Over the years I have gained plant and garden care knowledge which I enjoy sharing with our existing and new customers. There is nothing like a sunny day at Harrisons with beautiful plants and happy customers to share it with.”
Lance Bills
Director
We really do love what we do and I hope that shows through in the service and selection you find at Harrisons. I am proud of our nursery and garden centres and the positive contribution they make to everyone who supplies, works or shops with us.
I grew up as the son of market gardeners in Otaki, completed a Bachelor of Horticulture at Massey University, ran my own Landscape Design and construction company, then spent five years with an Auckland horticultural supplies business calling on garden centres and nurseries throughout NZ before finally joining the family nursery back in 1993.
I have been a President of Nursery and Garden Industry and have a keen interest in all activities that may increase the appeal of gardening to individuals or their communities.
I am pleased that Harrisons is independent and locally owned. Our stores can respond with the knowledge, products and plants to ensure that your efforts are rewarded. We want your gardening to be successful, and are thrilled when we can help that happen!
